IP Rating
What is an IP Rating? Why does it matter?
An IP rating is an “Ingress Protection Code”. We have familiarity with the first two codes (e.g. IPXX). The first number indicates a solid particle protection rating, and the second number indicates a liquid ingress protection rating. The ingress protection is given to a mechanical housing or enclosure.
An IP rating can be essential for protecting electronic circuits that will be exposed to dust or water in their normal usage.

IP Rated Housing Designs
Fleetwood Electronics helps businesses protect vital electronics by designing custom IP rated housings.
We have developed IP rated encasings to protect the technology that allows health care professionals to locate and monitor medical equipment. These asset trackers feature an over-molded gasket that seals off the circuit board from dust and liquid.
Additionally, Fleetwood Electronics has helped companies keep their shipments safe and stable by providing IP rated housings for Bluetooth temperature loggers. Here, we utilize a bathtub design and a membrane to protect PCB’s from damage.
